Preschool wrap up

It's been a fun and busy month at school for Lucy. The most fun for her dad and I however, has been seeing how much she has grown over the past 3 months. She is a totally different little girl with so much more confidence than in September. I can't wait to see what 2011 will bring for her!

Lucy was "Star of the Week" the other week. She worked very hard on her poster. It was fun to ask her the questions and hear her responses. She had more friends to list than was given space to write - friends included old friends, cousins, and new friends from preschool - so great! Her favorite color is pink, her favorite book is Max & Ruby's Halloween, her favorite food is mac & cheese, and she wants to be a doctor "like Dr Waller" (our pediatrician) when she grows up. She had big fun using the stickers and mommy's markers :)

Yesterday was the Holiday Program at school. The children sang songs for their families in the church and then we all went into the gathering room to make gingerbread houses. Lucy and I joined one of our preschool friends (and one of my new mom friends). Lucy's house turned out great and Gabers LOVED looking at it when he got home!

Counting down...

Loving that the advent calendar can also be educational! We are working on number recognition as we count down the days to Christmas

Believe

We took the kids down to the Holidazzle Parade and then to Macy's to see Santa, and finished the night with some hot chocolate. This was the first time we took the kids to see Santa (other than his appearance at our Drake brunch last Christmas). It brought tears to my eyes to see their excitement, and my heart very happy!

Awaiting the big man

As soon as Lucy caught a glimpse, she ran and gave him a big hug

Gabe thought he must not be so bad since Lucy liked him

On second thought...

Gabe loved the treat afterward!
